Editorial standards

These are the rules every comparison on this site follows. They exist so a reader can tell what a score means, where a fact came from, and what we did not check.

Last updated October 17, 2026

1. Every claim has a source and a date

Each statement about a service is taken from that provider's own published product, pricing or policy pages. The date we checked appears at the top of the article and next to any table of prices. When a provider changes a price or a formula, we update the page and adjust the affected scores.

2. Scores follow a published rubric

Services are scored out of 10 against fixed criteria with fixed weights, and the full table is printed on the page. Scores describe what a provider publishes about its own service. They are not a measure of clinical effect, and they are not a recommendation for any individual.

3. What we do not do

4. Money never changes a score

We earn affiliate commissions from some of the links on our pages. Providers cannot pay to be included, to be excluded, or to change a score or a ranking. The rubric is applied the same way to every service whether or not we have an affiliate relationship with it, and every affiliate link is labelled as one. See the advertiser disclosure.

5. Safety information is not optional

Every article about a prescription treatment carries the standard warnings that apply to that class of medicine, states that a prescription is required, states that a licensed provider decides whether treatment is appropriate, and notes where a product is compounded rather than FDA-approved. We do not claim or imply results, and we do not use before-and-after language.

6. Corrections are visible

If you find an error, contact us. We check it against the provider's current pages, correct the article and add a note describing what changed and when.

7. Images

Product images are supplied by the brands. Lifestyle and explanatory images may be stock photographs or created with AI tools, and they are labelled as illustrative on the page. No image on this site depicts a real patient or a real result.
